The Authentik Skin foundation is described as a natural and luminous foundation and many people have compared it to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous foundation. I first decided to try the foundation, the concealer will be one of the next ones I want to try. So when they released complexion products I was very excited. It’s available on for €26.Zoeva is for sure one of my favorite brands but I have mainly tried their palettes. So, overall I think that it’s an OK foundation, and I love that in comes in such a wide shaderange, but I don’t think that it’s anything special, and, unless you have more of a normal-dry skintype, I don’t think it would be the best choice. However, when it comes to the longevity and coverage on this, I will say that it holds up to it’s claims, because it is a very buildable medium-full coverage, and, even though it started to fade a little after 6-ish hours, it did last all day, so I was very pleased with that.Īnd it didn’t emphasize my pores, or any dry patches that I have, so I can’t say that it’s a bad product, it just didn’t work for me personally. Now, that might be because I have more combination skin, but since it claims to be a natural-luminous finish, and my skin get’s a little drier in the colder months, I didn’t think it would matter all that much, so it’s definitely something to keep in mind if you’re interested in trying it. Now, the first thing I noticed when I tried this was that it felt a little heavy, and it did look a little drying on my skin, but I’ve tried foundations that do that in the past, and most of the time they look a lot better once I’ve applied the rest of makeup, and it did for a few hours, but then it got very greasy, and when I tried to touch it up it looked very heavy and cakey, and that’s not something I want my foundation to do. So, I’ve tried several different powder products from Zoeva in the past, and it’s been a few hits and misses, but when I saw that they’d released a foundation, I got really curious to try it, but this didn’t answer to my expectetions.

Adventure deep into the UnderMine and discover powerful relics, deadly enemies, hidden secrets, and a few friends to help along the way. descriptionĪn action-adventure roguelike with a bit of RPG tossed in. Told to brave extreme danger for a boss that doesn’t quite care about them or their safety. Experience the plight of the poor Delvemore peasants. Prepare well, because a test awaits! Wickedly Lighthearted UnderMine has a rich world to explore and discover with charming characters and a plot full of intrigue. Each area of the UnderMine contains one (or more!) deadly boss that will test planning, patience, strategy, and skill. New relics, potions, characters, and story bits lay behind the statues, rocks, and walls of each floor. Explore every nook and cranny to discover hundreds of secrets. After returning them safe to the mine’s hub they will offer powerful upgrades that can be used from run to run. It isn’t perfect, but the vast majority of what I’ve seen so far needs no refinement.Discover friendly (and some unfriendly) characters in need of rescue. Baddies will wither, crunch, and billow upon taking their final blow in such a fulfilling way that even after all of my runs, I’m still having fun rompin’ and stompin’ through the first few floors. Laying bombs and blasting your way through a room will make you feel like you’ve gone to war. Shiny nuggets fly from nooks and land with a soothing clink. It sounds run-of-the-mill, but the brilliance comes from Thorium’s mastery in making every action – and reaction – feel incredibly satisfying. You’ll need to blow through walls, smash rocks, and crush your opponents to find it. In addition to clearing rooms of enemies that range from standard spooky skeletons to necromancers, trolls, knights, and vicious droplets of water, you’ll also be scouring for the aforementioned gold. The only conundrum with having so many useful upgrades is found in the ten minutes you’ll spend pondering where to spend your hard-earned riches.ĭon’t fret if you’re concerned about picking one thing over another – there’s plenty of income to go around. The solution to this sack snag being, of course, a much larger, sturdier sack. And seeing my sack of gold split open, raining its contents upon those greedy green slimes, was salt in a gaping wound. Incoming projectiles were the bane of my existence before being blessed with the ability to deflect them back at my attacker. Falling into pits was a problem until I brewed a concoction that allowed me to walk on air. Potions and blessings act as temporary and permanent bonuses, respectively, and far too frequently, I’ve had to squeeze “just one more run” in after acquiring a new one. Character enhancments, such as an increase to your throwing distance or a stronger pickaxe, are dolled out at a pace that keeps you engaged and never frustrated. A Diamond’s Nothing But a Rock With a NameĮverything that there is to excavate in UnderMine is certifiably exciting. UnderMine, on the other hand, hones in with laser-precision and strikes gold. It’s a tried-and-true formula, no doubt, but sift through any game store’s collection of roguelikes, and you’ll find that the execution more often than not misses the mark. When you die, you’ll return to your hub, now able to utilize the resources collected to improve your character further. Your character will progress through room after room, knocking heads and collecting upgrades. But the writers at least make this age-old tale of a hero defeating an evil force and saving the world intriguing enough to keep me invested. I’m not yet convinced that the story is good, as narrative bits come few and far between. Much of what you find within its depths will seem almost comically routine at this point. UnderMine doesn’t stray far from the path carved by giants of the roguelike genre. A limited edition EP, EP to Be You and Me was also printed along with the album. In 2003, the B-sides and remix collection Bee Hives was released. On the supporting tour, the core band consisted of Drew, Canning, Peroff, Whiteman and Jason Collett, along whichever band members were available on each show date. The album also included musical contributions by Priddle, Jessica Moss, Brodie West, Susannah Brady and Ohad Benchetrit, but these were credited as supporting musicians rather than band members. The album was produced by David Newfeld and released on Paper Bag Records in October 2002 and won the Alternative Album of the Year Juno Award in 2003. You Forgot It in People Īll of the musicians from the live show joined Drew, Canning, Peroff and Spearin to record the band's second album, You Forgot It in People. Over time, the band came to include contributions from James Shaw, Justin Peroff, John Crossingham, and Stars member Amy Millan. ĭrew and Canning's material at the time was almost entirely instrumental, so they brought together musicians from the Toronto indie scene, the album contributors as well as Andrew Whiteman, Jason Collett, and Metric's Emily Haines, to flesh out their live show with lyrics and vocals. This duo recorded and released the band's ambient debut album, Feel Good Lost, on Noise Factory Records in 2001, with contributions by Justin Peroff, Charles Spearin, Bill Priddle, Leslie Feist, Jessica Moss and Stars' Evan Cranley. The band was formed in 1999 by core members Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning. The collective and their respective projects have had a broad influence on alternative music and indie rock during the early 21st century, in 2021 Pitchfork listed the band among the "most important artists" of the last 25 years. In 2010, Bruce McDonald made This Movie Is Broken, a movie about the band's Harbourfront show during the 2009 Toronto strike. Stuart Berman's This Book Is Broken (2009) covers the band from its inception to its critical acclaim. It includes grand orchestrations featuring guitars, horns, woodwinds, and violins, unusual song structures, and an experimental, and sometimes chaotic production style from David Newfeld, who produced the second and third albums. The group's sound combines elements of all of its members' respective musical projects, and is occasionally considered baroque pop. These associated acts include Metric, Feist, Stars, Apostle of Hustle, Do Make Say Think, KC Accidental, Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton, Amy Millan, and Jason Collett. Most of its members play in various other groups and solo projects, mainly in the city of Toronto. All American Season 3 Episode 9 Release Date 9/12/2023 0 Comments Hey mickey lollipop chainsawJuliet is a Lolita fantasy, a barely veiled recreation of Britney Spears in “ Baby One More Time.” Juliet literally says, “Oops, I did it again.” She exists in the pinkish-grey area between childish bubblegum innocence and the hypersexualization of youth. Juliet is created from the minds of men to perfectly flip a switch in every straight male’s head that this is a hot piece of meat. This is what contemporary analysis of Lollipop Chainsaw feels like. Ask a queer woman or nonbinary person why they love boobs, and they will say something like “titty soft, titty warm, titty safe.” There is a joke that if you ask a man why he loves boobs so much, he will give you a speech about the nature of sexuality, beauty, and the meaning of the universe. These advocates (typically men) would say that the bubblegum pop veneer and over-sexualization of Juliet was “The Point.” It was a commentary on sexual objectification. Proponents of Lollipop Chainsaw at the time of its release argued that Suda51 games were always crass, always weird, and yet always had a deeper meaning. Sexualized characters in games are not uncommon, but characters like Bayonetta don’t occupy the same territory as Juliet Starling. In his review, IGN writer Mitch Dyer said, “For every zombie Juliet Starling decapitates with her chainsaw, someone calls her a whore, talks about masturbating to her, or comments on her gigantic breasts.” The Lolita fantasy The omnipresent objectification of Juliet even impacts how characters interact with her. They can rightfully be called money shots. Continuous learning camera work accentuated the shortness of her skirt and the tightness of her sports bra. The one flourish developers did add to combat was a plethora of effects for Juliet’s attacks that included glitter, pink hearts, and rainbows. It simply did not stand up to action titles like the Devil May Cry franchise. The game’s mechanics were uninspired, even at the time. What follows is a hack ‘n’ slash adventure through school to stop the outbreak and make it to Juliet’s birthday dinner alive. Turns out Juliet and her family are zombie hunters. To prevent him from turning, she decapitates her boyfriend and performs a spell to keep his head alive. Sadly, when Juliet arrives at school, she discovers there has been a zombie outbreak and poor Nick is bitten. (Yes, we are literally talking barely legal territory!) She is nervous because tonight she is bringing her boyfriend Nick home for the first time to meet her family. Story-wise, it is Juliet’s 18th birthday. Lollipop Chainsaw was never shy about advertising the real product that players wanted: Juliet herself. Suggestive language makes a few meta quips about the player being in her bedroom. There’s even more than one upskirt angle. The camera zooms in on Starling’s lips as she sucks a lollipop. The way the trailers focus on Juliet’s skimpy short skirt and “perfect” body is downright voyeuristic. Promotional material and trailers for Lollipop Chainsaw focused on the protagonist, a barely legal cheerleader named Juliet Starling. The game is a zombie hack ‘n’ slash, but that was not the main selling point. The Marvel Studios Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn served as a writer for the project. Lollipop Chainsaw was developed by Suda51’s studio Grasshopper Manufacture Inc., the same company behind the No More Heroes series. It could be a new game, a remake, a remaster, or simply a rerelease on modern platforms which are all equally possible outcomes considering how so many other fan-favorite and cult-hit franchises have been revived or continued to some degree in recent years.Lollipop Chainsaw is a game covered in glitter and blood, which asks the player to objectify the protagonist. Goichi Suda, the CEO of Grasshopper Manufacture and the director of the original Lollipop Chainsaw game who's better known online as Suda51, recently looked back on the game's anniversary, too, though it's unclear how, if at all, he's involved with whatever sort of return is planned for the game.Īs indicated by Suda51's tweet above, director James Gunn was also involved with Lollipop Chainsaw, but again, it's too early to tell from Yasuda's tease alone who all is involved in this project and what the revival even is. Given that the game is now 10 years old, it fits then that Yasuda celebrated the anniversary around the same time as the announcement which was no doubt timed accordingly. #DragamiGames /RlcLrxMkKK- 安田善巳 June 14, 2022 Lollipop Chainsaw is back by Dragami Games. 9/12/2023 0 Comments Contra rebirth endingSecondly, there's only 4 weapons in the game, including the Game does have a few unlockable characters and harder difficulties, though, which add to the replayability. Even more bizarre is Jaguar Yagyu's very presence in the story. Why is Bill cryogenically frozen? Why is Lance working undercover?
